Mister Chips
Mister Chips is our top pick if you're looking for somewhere to eat in with a great atmosphere and it offers superb value for money. Although the fish and chips are great the menu offers loads more choice.
Located just over the swing bridge, there is also a smaller restaurant near the bandstand by the west pier. Takeaways are available from both locations.

The Magpie offers a huge range of locally caught seafood from mussels, fish pie and lobster to their famous fish and chips.
With it's distinctive white and black exterior and usually long queue down the steps, it's easy to spot along the west pier road. We recommend booking during busy periods or go later in the day for a takeaway to eat along the pier.

Sat on the corner of Skinner Street and Flowergate, The Resolution Hotel and Restaurant is easy to miss for such a large building. Fantastic food and a good selection of beer on tap make this one of our favourite places to eat in Whitby when we want something other than fish & chips!
A favourite with our kids for both the food and the fish tank :-)

The White Horse & Griffin
A 17th century coach inn which Captain James Cook used as a meeting place.
We like it for amazing Sunday roast in front of the fire and the original interior features and warren of rooms.
